Study of reproductive features of ctenophore Mnemiopsis leidyi in the inshore waters of the Black Sea in 2003 –2014 showed that fecundity had decreased for the recent years (2010 –2014). It is possible that the reason of it is the climate warming which led to an increase in upper mixed layer temperature above optimal and reduction of ctenophore feeding rate.
