Feeding (ration and assimilation) of Strongulocentrus droebachiensis was studied at different age and in a seasonal aspect. Differences are detected in nutrition intensity of impuberal and adult animals depending on season and food type. The differences make it impossible to approximate the relation of the ration volume to the body mass by a power equation but permits applying the polynomial equation. The nutrition intensity depends on the water exchange rate and food type and to a less extent on the body mass. Assimilation of algae varies within the limits of 58—75% and is the same in the animals of different mass.
