The article deals with a review of studying carried out at the Department of Hydrobiology of the Odessa State University for 1971-1975 in the offing regions of the Black Sea near the Danube, Dniester, Dnieper. Differences are shown in species composition of phyto-, zooplankton and zoobenthos; fish ichthyofauna and changes in fish catches are considered
