While exposing mussels under conditions of anaerobiosis and in sea water with different concentration of copper and arsenic ions the concentration dynamics is obtained for hydrogen ions (pH), organic solutes (OS) and ninhydrin-positive substances (NPS). The experiments were carried out in the mantle liquid of Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam. and in their environment. Excreted products under anaerobiosis are accumulated to a greater extent in sea water of experimental vessels. When exposing mussels in the medium containing copper ions, metabolites are accumulated in the mantle liquid of mussels.
