The malate dehydrogenase activity was studied in uneven-aged mussels inhabiting the regions various as to their pollution degree. The revealed ontogenetic differences in the malate dehydrogenase activity are more evidently pronounced in moilusks from the regions of intensive pollution. Young moilusks aged under two years are more sensitive to the pollution.
