Effect of salinity on the valve morphology of the two closely related diatom species from the Black Sea, Nitzschia longissima (Bréb.) Grunow and N. rectilonga Takano, was considered. Valve perforation increased at higher salinity. The fact should be considered when identifying these species.Изучено влияние солёности на морфологическую изменчивость панцирей двух близких видов диатомовых водорослей Nitzschia longissima (Bréb.) Grunow и N. rectilonga Takano из Черного моря. Показано влияние уровня солёности на перфорированность панциря и другие таксономические признаки. Установленный факт необходимо учитывать при идентификации видов рода Nitzschia, имеющих близкие диагнозы
