Investigation of the diatoms maintained in a culture, particularly as clones, gives valuable information and allows a set of the problems of diatomology to be addressed. Based on the cultivation experience we have been considered the questions which could be solved by using methods of reproductive biology.Изучение диатомовых водорослей при содержании их в культуре, особенно в виде клонов, делает возможным решение и получение значимой информации по многим вопросам, стоящим перед диатомологами.
