In this paper, we introduce SIMDOMO, a tool to simulate human activities in virtual sensorized houses. The purpose of the tool is to facilitate the generation of large amount of data for the design and evaluation of ambient-assisted living applications. Specifically, for experimenting with visualizations of home activities over long periods (years or decades); for training and testing algorithms to recognize changes of behaviors or anomalies that would be difficult to observe in real settings or in lab; testing infrastructures for robustness and scaling; as well as, for assessing business models.
