LODE is a logic-based web tool for Italian deaf children who have problems in the global comprehension of texts written in a verbal language. LODE aims at stimulating global reasoning on e-stories written in a verbal language; presently, we are focusing on global temporal reasoning. This is done through apt exercises and with the support of a constraint programming system. The aim of this paper is to illustrate the interface design of LODE; critical aspects in the design of interfaces for deaf children are analyzed. A preliminary assessment and an evaluation plan of LODE conclude this paper
