Influence of Social Partners on Labour Legal Relationships Master‘s thesis analyses the opportunities for social partners to have an impact on labour relations through the changing economic, political and social events. The topic of social partnership is pretty wide and versatile. Consequently, due to the limited scope of master‘s thesis, there is not aiming to carry out a thorough investigation, but there are addressed only some aspects of the topic. The author considers, that the impact impact of social partnership is mostly reflected not in legislative text, but in the legislative process. Therefore, the master‘s thesis contains strong social nature of study. The thesis, first of all, analyses the evolution and current system of social models in foreign countries as well as European Union. There is a brief discussion of key legal acts and events, which have had a decisive influence on the development of social partnership. Master‘s thesis focuses on the situation of social partnership in Lithuania. There is discussed a role of the state in promoting social partnership, the measures taken and the challenges encountered. There is also a brief overview of the main issues that hinder effective social dialogue done. The author examines social partnership development during the crisis and the influence of social partners on the employment relationship. In accordance to current occurrences and the topic, an overview of social dialogue in creating and considering a new social model made. The author concludes that social partners in Lithuania have not used all the opportunities to develop labour relations yet. However, their increasing contribution to the legislative initiative noticed. Master‘s thesis provides an evaluation of challenges during economic crisis which contributed to alterations in relationship of government and social partners. There is analysis containing legal remedies implemented to reach the balance of the economic growth and social security, as well as the consequences of saving traditions in social dialogue prevailing in pre-crisis period.
