Linguistic expression of andrius tapinas' blog and social website ʻfacebook&#700

Lexical meaning of Andrius Tapinas in his blog and Facebook page is analysed in this work, the research is done in terms of qualitative content analysis. The content is consisted of examples, that were selected from internet and social networks. On the whole, there are 192 objects that are analysed in this work. By examinig all the material, efforts are put to find out collaboration of connotative lexical meaning and general content of A. Tapinas. Besides, the effect of artistic expressions is discussed in this work. This bachelor thesis deals with issues of electronical discurse, language in internet space, semantic means of expression, connotative lexical expressions, syntactic shapes, metalinguistic comments / expressions, humorous means of expression, intertextuality manifestations, uniqueness of blogs. After examining all the examples, the conclusion that limit between irony and sarcasm is not very clear, ambiguities can be find, while cases of absurd are not dominating, can be made. Conversational style and dialogue are created by approach of thought figures and receiver. There are a lot of semantic means of expression, usually metaphor goes together with metonymy. Connotative meaning of expression gives vitality to the language and have a crucial effect in affecting the reader and expressing the atitude towards certain topics in a forceful way. Jargonism are used with a wiew to having more stylistical style, besides there are new words that can be understood just in a certain context. Intertextuality is characterised by huge diversity of movie quotes and popular cultural music groups. Results of this research can be useful for everyone, who is interested public sphere's language as well as for those who make analysis of lexical and semantic means of expression and are examining diversity of intertextuality and thought figures
