Semantics of the posture verbs (sit, stand, lie) in the Lithuanian language. This bachelor thesis examines the semantics of posture verbs stand, sit, lie in Lithuanian language. Usage examples are collected from corpus of VDU’s publicist section. Analyzes how these verbs are perceived in person’s consciousness and how they are used in various contexts. The first chapter presents basic properties of posture verbs and their surrounding environment in the sentence. The second chapter examines how semantic properties are revealed in the verbs meanings, and the differences between their primary and secondary meanings
