Phraseological compounds with several names of livestock The thesis analyses phraseological compounds with some names of domestic animals (sheep, goat, pig, horse, ox, cow). Firstly, theoretical literature of other authors is discussed. Later, phraseologisms are listed by structural types and functions, comparative phraseologisms are discussed and ranked. Their lexical-semantic groups are described, as well as stereotyped motivation of phraseologisms. The paper analyses the importance of farm animals showed as phraseologisms for people, daily life of rural people and their works. It discusses the resulting stereotypical opinions about certain types of farm animals. Relevant legends, fairy tales, where we find farm animals as phraseologisms, are analysed in the thesis. It describes their image in the folk culture and attitude of neighbouring countries. The results are presented in conclusions
