In this research the relationship between time perspective as a psychological factor and environmental attitudes and behaviour is analysed. The purpose of this study is to explore the relation of time perspective, environmental attitudes and behaviour. Participants were 104 people with mean age of 37,2 (ranging from 24 to 67 years, SD =9,37), most of them female (72%). The selection of the participants was based on a convenience sample. The following instruments were used to study the relation between time perspective and environmental attitudes and behaviour: Lithuanian version of S-ZTPI inventory, NEP scale and environmental behaviour questionnaire. Correlation, comparison of the means and regression analysis was performed. The research results showed no statistically significant correlations between environmental attitudes and time perspective. The statistically significant correlation was observed between environmental attitudes and behaviours and between environmental behaviours and positive and negative future time perspectives. Individuals who have signed the petition for environment protection were with the higher positive future time perspective, the ones to not participate in the environmental events were with the higher present fatalistic time perspective, negative future - oriented individuals were less likely to engage in water conservation and electricity saving practices. Present – fatalistic oriented individuals were less likely to engage in electricity saving.
