Analytical Chemistry in the Field of Art Work by Fourier-Transform-Infrared-Spectroscopy in ATR Mode The aim of this bachelor thesis: representation usefulness of FTIR–ATR spectroscopy in identification and examination of different organic and inorganic pigments. This bachelor thesis tasks: 1. Register spectra of pure pigments and painting samples. 2. Identify pigments and other materials (varnishes, binders, ground layer) from IR absorbtance spectra. 3. Observe different compounds distribution in a cross-section by using FPA detector. 4. Determine thickness of different layers in sample‘s cross-section.
