Prefixation in lithuanian and spanish: comparative aspect

Prefixation in Lithuanian and Spanish: Comparative Aspect. Bachelor's thesis, "Prefixation in Lithuanian and Spanish: Comparative Aspect", analyzes one of word formation ways - prefixation. The work seeks to address the answer to the following question: what are the similarities and differences of the Lithuanian language and the Spanish language prefixation. Parallel, phenomenon of parasynthesis is analyzed, which is closely linked with prefixation. The theoretical part discusses the most important concepts of word formation in both languages, the place of prefixation in the general context of the word formation phenomena and examines what way prefixes differ from prefixoids. Why words, such as "pokarinis, povestuvinis, paėjėti", belong not to the mixed composition, but to parasynthesis. The research part aims to determine the parts of Lithuanian and Spanish languages that are made under prefixation manner and what are similarities and differences of prefixation in these certain parts. The study these materials were used - Lithuanian and Spanish grammar, dictionaries, works based on the word formation. By analyzing Lithuanian and Spanish languages, it was possible to discover that, despite the distinctive language development paths, different language family types and language contacts, these two languages have got not only differences, but similarities as well. This thesis is the theoretical in its nature and could be useful to linguists, translators and students, who are interested in the focal point of the work - Lithuanian and Spanish languages, to be more precise, the structure, main similarities and differences of these languages
