Software process agility assessment

Major part of software projects fail due to weak software development process. Software process models were created to improve and assess software process. Traditional software process models are not suitable to assess application of agile methodologys. To assess application of agile methodologys, agile software development process assessment models were created. After creating many agility assessment models the need arise to check whether agility in agility assessment models is likewise understood. Purpose of thesis is to analyze whether using different models organizations should adopt agile practices equally. In bachelor’s thesis three agile models reviews are presented: Agile Maturity Model (AMM), Agile Adoption Framework (AAF), Software Agility Assessment Reference Model (AgilityMod). High level comparison is made between AMM and AAF, which shows that models are so different that there is no reason to do detail comparison. Assessment is made to show which AgilityMod capability profiles are ensured by AAF maturity levels. Many mistakes were found in AMM. Agility in AMM, AAF and AgilityMod differently understood
