Martynas Kisielius DESIGN AND INVESTIGATION OF VARIOUS MAGNETIC TORQUERS Summary Cubesat type of satellites are one of the most popular means of space exploration due to their low production costs and relatively short design time. One of the ways to orient these satellites in space is to use magnetorquers. Magnetic coils are arranged perpendicular to each other and, due to their interaction with Earth's magnetic field magnetic torque arises thus steering the satellite about two axes perpendicular to the Earth's magnetic field. There are two main types of coils: without cores or with a ferromagnetic core.
