النزاعات السياسية وأثرها على التنمية المستدامة في أفريقيا: دراسة حالة بوركينافاسو وكوت ديفوار 1966م-2018م

This research is entitled “The Political Conflicts and their Impact on Sustainable Development in Africa" - Case Study of Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire, 1966 - 2018). In its political history, only military regimes and political instability were dominated in Burkina Faso since 1966 till 2014, and a civilian did not rule the country during this period. Contrary to Côte d'Ivoire, which has experienced political stability and economic development since independence, but it also faced the political conflicts that began with the first military coup in 1999 and then the armed movements in 2002 until it reached the post electoral crisis in 2010. All this have impacts on social, economic and environmental sustainable development. The question that arises is: What are the main reasons for the outbreak of political conflicts in Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire? To answer this question, the research reached several results, the most important of which are: the lack of equitable distribution of power and wealth is one of the main causes of political conflict in Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire and the problem of identity and integration has contributed to fueling political conflicts in Côte d'Ivoire. The research reached a number of rules, the most important of which is: if the state provides good civil services and freedom to its citizens, sustainable development will not be affected much, even if the conflicts continue. The absence of sustainable development during the conflicts explains that whenever the state does not possess the basic pillars of infrastructure or owned but lost control and maintain during internal conflicts the sustainable development will not exist. The researcher used the historical, descriptive, comparative and case study approaches. The research recommends that the African Union should implement the proposed model in this research to remove political conflicts, with all other conflicts and the extension of peace, good governance and sustainable development in Africa
