This work is the first contribution to the knowledge of the diet of Pejegallo Nematistius pectoralis, captured in Bahía Almejas, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The trophic spectrum of 59 specimens of N. pectoralis is described qualitatively and quantitatively, using traditional methods of frequency of appearance, numerical and weight, as well as the relative importance index. In total, 10 prey species were identified, of which 9 were fish and one cephalopod. It was determined that the pejegallo is an active ichthyophage predator which mainly affects fish species that form schools such as Eucinostomus dowii, E. gacilis, Anchoa ischana and Anchoa spp.Este trabajo es la primera contribución al conocimiento de la dieta del Pejegallo Nematistius p...
