Tourisme communautaire et patrimonialisation de la culture. Le cas du Kirghizstan postsoviétique et multiethnique

Based on ethnographie fieldwork, this article brings to light the local appropriation of the community based tourism in the post-soviet and multiethnic context of Kyrgyzstan. This new kind of tourism reflects the switch from Soviet tourism which was formerly part of a controlled economy, by the state, the communist youth or the unions, to a travel industry reappropriated by «local populations». The article shows what the stakeholders involved on the field make of objectives of local participation in the patrimonialisation of the culture. They reappropriate the norms and representations promoted by the international organization and the tourist industry by including them in local dynamics. They therefore invent new ways of thinking, of «doing» community based tourism in this context.Basé sur une enquête ethnographique, cet article met en évidence l'appropriation locale du tourisme communautaire dans le contexte du Kirghizstan postsoviétique et multiethnique. Cette forme inédite de tourisme traduit le passage d ' un tourisme soviétique, autrefois intégré dans une économie planifiée et géré par l'Etat, la jeunesse communiste ou les syndicats, à un tourisme marchand réapproprié par les «populations locales». L'article rend compte des relectures effectuées, par les acteurs impliqués sur le terrain, des objectifs de participation locale en matière de patrimonialisation de la culture. Ces derniers se réapproprient les normes et les représentations affichées par les organisations internationales et l'industrie touristique en les insérant dans des dynamiques locales.
