An Attempt at Reconstituting the Territory of the Colony of Philippi : Sources, Methods, and Interpretations. Thanks to the hisorical conditions of its occupation as well as the profusion and diversity of the documents available, the territory of Philippi is a particularly interesting field to study the processes of appropriation and structuration of an area during Roman colonization. Starting from the conclusions of recent discoveries as well as a critical reexamining of older sources, this paper intends first to evaluate the impact of Roman colonization on the territory of Philippi, then to tackle from a diachronic point of view issues of continuity and discontinuity in the organisation of its rural space.En raison des conditions historiques de son occupation, de la richesse et de la diversité de son corpus documentaire, le territoire de Philippes constitue un terrain particulièrement favorable pour mener une réflexion sur les mécanismes d’appropriation et de structuration d’un espace dans le cadre de la colonisation romaine. En s’appuyant sur l’apport des nouvelles découvertes, mais aussi sur le réexamen critique des sources plus anciennes, le but de cette étude est d’une part d’évaluer l’impact de la colonisation romaine sur le territoire philippien, d’autre part d’aborder à travers une approche diachronique les questions des continuités et des ruptures dans l’organisation de son espace rural.Brélaz Cédric, Tirologos Georges.
