The present article deals with the regulations of one of the Calvinist schools that were under the patronage of the powerful Birża line of the Radziwiłł family. In 1628, the principles the newly founded school was to follow were announced, which makes it possible for us to become more closely acquainted with the school’s structure and organisation. This document, of which Professor Estreicher knew nothing, is preserved in one copy in the National Library in Warsaw. It is a rare and precious source as it gives us access to the syllabus of that four year school, to a list of duties and rights of both students and teachers, and provides also some information on the way the school holidays were organised
