Parateksty, pre-teksty czy możliwe paragatunki?

The article touches upon the issue of paratcxtuality, i.e. a relation of the main and accompanying text [paratext]. Here, the text is comprehended at length as a text of culture, thus theoretical arrangements arc made on the basis of books, press articles, radio and television programs, movies, or official meetings that are strictly associated with people’s verbal behavior [award presentations, announcements of results of important contests]. Forewords, dedications, reviews, publishing disposers, editor notes, radio and television spots, movie trailers, laudations, and leitmotiv letters are thus paratexts. Attention is particularly paid to time and/or space location of a paratext, which becomes a pre-text during the act of receiving, because in spite of localization and/or synchronization, perception of a paratext takes place before reception of the actual text. The author of this article reaches a conclusion that pre-texts are an important factor of the contemporary culture of reception; they present and recommend the actual text within this culture and this function often becomes more important than the text itself.
