Demonstratives are a nominalisation of what Husserl called the «central noematic moment». Within the semantic sphere constituted by the noema they fulfil not only the syntactical function of constituting the «object» on which determinations of meaning are grafted, but, in an empirical sphere they also fulfil the properly deictic function of reference to the real. This study seeks to show how the institution of objects is produced first with demonstratives and its consequences for the conception of the referent. In this regard the thesis is that Husserl’s phenomenology is certainly not one of those philosophies that abandons itself to the «myth of the given» (transl. J.
