Residential Discrimination and Ethnic Origin : an Experimental Study on Paris-RegionWaiters. We performed a correspondence test to measure the level of hiring discrimination against young workers from the Paris suburbs. We examine discrimination based on ethnic origin and place of residence. We evaluate simultaneously the effects of place of residence, nationality, sound of the first name and sound of the last name on the probability of being interviewed for a job as a waiter.
