In spite of many publications about Echinoids from Miocene fields from the Rhône Basin, no one exhaustive study of systematic was made since the years 1910-1915. After a chronological account of events, all the Miocene Echinoids faunas from the Rhône Basin are reviewed. The validity of each species or subspecies is dicussed and the revision of the systematic is based on the study of an important paleontological material : old collections and especially the types and figured specimens of the quasi totality of the studied species like several thousands of new specimens coming from all the paleogeo-graphic sectors concerned. Up today, 38 species or subspecies of Cidaroids and Regular Echinoids and 1 12 species or subspecies of Irregular ones...
