The heavy mineral association from the mummy is mainly made up of green augite followed by green hornblende and garnet. Zircon and epidote are found in small amounts, tourmaline and rutile are rare. These results are similar to those from the Ramses II mummy and above all they are like those from sediments from the Nile Valley in Upper Egypt. These minerals are different from those collected on mummies and sediments from the Douch oasis and they are also unlike those from sediments in Lower Egypt.
