After a brief review of the vitreous state and the structure of silica and silicate glasses the properties of the molten silicates will be discussed, in particular the structural aspects, which cannot be extrapolated or deduced from measurements on the vitreous silicates. The following topics are dealt with : flow behaviour (Newtonian, non-Newtonian, visco-elastic) , aniso-tropy and orientation phenomena, high temperature fracture, and phase separation. Possibilities to get information on structural aspects of silicate melts from structure-sensitive methods and treatments of the melts are discussed.Après une brève revue de l'état vitreux, et de la structure des verres de silice et de silicates, on discute les propriétés des silicates fondus...
