Miocene echinoids in La Nerthe area (SE France) repartition and biostratigraphics conclusions. After the paleogene regression the first following transgression occurs in neogene times, in La Nerthe area. So that a revision of the echinoids determination and their stratigraphie position appeared of hight interest. Till now some species were unknown in La Nerthe region, when others could only be found here ; the whole fauna is characteristic of a hot marine medio to infralittoral environment. According to recent stratigraphie and sedimentologic studying, we can replace this echinofauna in the regional stratigraphie framework and point out phyletic variations and evolutions of at least regional interest.
