Discovery of numerous Gastropods in the bauxitic layer and in one interbedded bauxitic limestone, belonging to the genera : Viviparus, Neritina, Valvata and Procerithium. Seven species, including two new species, are identified and described. Some of them exist in the Western Europe purbeckian facies, that is equivalent to the age of the second horizon of the bauxite (considered as the Uppermost Jurassic) in the Parnassus zone. The paleoecological conclusions, given by Mollusks, agree with the palaeogeographical and palaeosedimentological reconstruction of the bauxite deposition : sedimentation of fine aluminous material coming from the Pelagonian zone, situated at the North-East, in a previously karsti-fied lagoon.
