The fossil fauna of Beni-Mellal contains at least one species of a rather large ochotonid which may be referred to the genus Kenyalagomys. This form is a new species, K. mellalensis n.sp., quite different from K. rusingae and K. minor, previously known from the African Miocene .La faune de Beni-Mellal renferme au moins une espèce d'Ochotonidé de grandes dimensions et attribuée au genre Kenyalagomys.
