This note aims at providing a few criticisms of a model developped by Day (1983). The author argues that chaotic dynamics may characterise demoeconomic fluctuations in agrarian economies. But he does so, using hypotheses that appear to be somewhat ad hoc. These assumptions concern ; i) the presence of a negative labor-productivity ; ii) the definition of two wage rates, respectively psychological and physiological ; iii) the definition of non-economic and economic factors which both explain the dépendance of the rate of population on the output level ; iv) the time lag used in the model ; and, v) an indétermination due to the existence of three possible regimes of chaotic dynamics.L'objet de cette note est de formuler quelques critiques à...
