Methodological Aspects of Determining Parameters of a Scalper-Type Air-Sieved Separator Airflow

EN: The method of determination of airflow parameters of a scalper-type air-sieved separator is developed by studying the structure and scopes of air velocities in the sections of air distributor, separating and sedimentation chambers. The study of the structure and scopes of air velocities in the air distributor is carried out in five sections. Dynamic pressure and airflow rate are determined. When changing the flow section of the air distributor, various inclination angle values of the middle movable and rear movable walls and the coefficient of the flow section of the tray-intensifier are taken into account. Based on the data obtained, the operating speeds of the airflow are determined, velocities diagrams are constructed, the structure of the hydraulic resistance of the pneumatic system is formed. This allows for adjustments in determining the rational and optimal parameter values and operating modes of the pneumatic system. As a result, it is planned to increase the efficiency of the air-sieved separator and reduce its energy intensity
