Hubungan Status Sosial Ekonomi dan Kandungan Escherichia Coli Dalam Air Bersih dengan Kejadian Diare di Kelurahan Semanggi Surakarta

Diarrhea is an environment-based disease that still a problem in the world. In Indonesia diarrhea still one of the endemic diseases thaht cause death. Based on the report from Puskesmas Sangkrah in January-August 2018 there were 953 cases with 643 cases occurring in the Semanggi Village. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of Socioeconomic status (education level, occupation and income level) and the content of Escherichia coli in clean water with the incidence of diarrhea in the Semanggi Surakarta. This type of research is observational with cross sectional study. The population in this study was 4752 houses in Semanggi Surakarta. The sample of this research were 93 respondents selectedd using proportional random sampling. Data was collected using questionnares and taking water sample to be tested for Escherichia coli. The result of data analysis based on Chi square test regarding relationship between maternal occupation (p= 0,002) and maternal income level (p= 0,035) with the incidence of diarrhea but there was no realtionship between maternal education (p= 0,235) and Escherichia coli content in clean water (p= 0,155) with the incidence of diarrhe
