Abstract Concrete is a building material that is quite heavy, with a weight of about 2400 kg / m3. To reduce the dead load originating from its own weight, experts develop lightweight concrete techniques. Lightweight concrete is concrete that weighs less than 1800 kg / m3. In order to obtain lightweight concrete, in this study Styrofoam was used as a substitute for some fine aggregates.
