Cesarean delivery is a labor procedure through surgical incision in the mother's abdomen (laparotomy) and uterus (hysteroctomy). Surgical treatment in labor will cause acute pain due to tissue damage. Postoperative pain is classified as moderate to severe pain. Effective pain control in the postoperative period play important role in improving patient quality of life. Inadequate analgesics in these postoperative patients may lead to impaired activity, stress, frustration, sleep disturbances, and emotional instability.
