Kepiting bakau (Scylla sp.) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan yang memiliki nilai ekonomis penting (BKIPM, 2016). Perairan Wonorejo merupakan salah satu daerah yang menghasilkan kepiting bakau di Surabaya dan merupakan perairan yang berpotensi mengalami pencemaran logam berat akibat aktifitas di daratan. Tembaga (Cu) merupakan salah satu jenis logam berat yang mencemari perairan Wonorejo, tembaga dalam jumlah besar dapat meracuni manusia, yaitu dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada hati dan menyebabkan hemolysis (Napitu, 2012).
