HUBUNGAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA DENGAN MOTIVASI IBU MULTIPARA DALAM MELAKUKAN PEMERIKSAAN INSPEKSI VISUAL ASETAT (IVA) DI PUSKESMAS NGLETIH KOTA KEDIRI

The rate of early detection of cervical cancer in Puskesmas Ngletih is still poor, this is due to the low motivation of the mother. It is because the lack of family support. The large number of incorrect information that mother’s get from the family can affect the mother's participation in Visual Inspection Acetate (VIA) examination. The aim of this research was to analyze correlation among family support with motivation of multiparous mother in Visual Inspection Acetate examination (VIA). Method: The research applied descriptive correlational with cross sectional approach as design. The number of samples were 156 based on purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using questionnaire. Independent variable of this research was family support. The dependent variable was motivation of multiparous mother. Data were analyzed using spearman-rho test with level of significance less than or equal to 0.05 (α≤0.05). Result and analysis: The result showed that family support had correlation with motivation of multiparous mother in Visual Inspection Acetate examination (p=0.000). Esteem support is the highest support that mother’s receive from their family. Age, education, occupation of the mother, and intrapersonal conflicts can affect mother’s motivation. Conclusion: It could be concluded that there was strong correlation between family supports with motivation of multiparous mother in Visual Inspection Acetate examination in Puskesmas Ngletih, Kediri. Furthermore, the level of screening coverage is still poor. Further studies should provide health education to improve understanding of Visual Inspection Acetate
