Background : Osteosarcoma is a common primary malignant neoplasm of bone. The etiology of osteosarcoma remains unclear, but there are many theories underlying the pathophysiology of this disease. Purpose : To evaluate the incidence and characteristics of osteosarcoma patients in Dr. Soetomo General Hospital Surabaya in January 2013-December 2016. Method : This is a descriptive retrospective study and was performed by evaluating medical record of osteosarcoma patients. Result : The results showed the number of osteosarcoma patients in Dr Soetomo General Hospital as many as 125 patients. Male gender was 78 patients (62,4%) and female were 47 patients (37,6%).
