Background: Despite improvements of pediatric postoperative pain management, children continue to experience significant postoperative pain because of the difficulty in expressing pain (Lee and Jo, 2014). A good pain assessment will lead to an appropriate pain management, and thereby ameliorate the children’s comfort and clinical outcome (APA, 2012).
