PENGARUH PEMBERIAN ASUPAN GLUKOSA DI PAGI HARI PRAAKTIVITAS TERHADAP KONSENTRASI MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN DOKTER UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA ANGKATAN 2013

To make these stimuli persists as a long-term memory, stimuli must be given attention as a precondition. Blood glucose level has an important role in cognitive function. This role is clearly seen on the importance of breakfast consumption. This is caused by the brain consumming 25% of glucose available in blood, so it is very sensitive to glucose level decrement. This research used one group pre-test post-test study design with purposive sampling. Subjects included in this research were healthy class of 2013 Airlangga University School of Medicine students. First, fasting glucose level was measured (subjects were asked to fast for 8-10 hours), then subjects were examined with pre-test digit span. After that, subjects waited for 30 minutes before their blood glucose level was remeasured. Finally, subjects were reexamined with another digit span as a post test. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 24 by normality test and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test. Wilcoxon test bore p=0,001, showed the significant effects of glucose input, with increment of the percentiles of digit span tests of 14,142 ± 19,825 %. There was an effect of pre-activity 75 gram glucose intake in morning towards the increment of equivalent percentile in digit span test of the class of 2013 Airlangga University School of Medicine Medical Program students
