Media works as a vessel of cultural value of human society. Some also said that media stereotyped the gender role that affected the society. Through this thesis, the author wanted to find out how does a popular movie in a modern era still displaying patriarchal value through their product. One of them is from the popular HBO TV series, Game of Thrones which were based on the novel by George R.R Martin.
