Academic article publication is compulsory in Indonesia, especially for doctoral students who have to produce a scientific journal article accepted to be published in international journals. One of the problems associated with the publication of the international journal is the use of words related to specific fields in English. The aim of this study is to analyze the words used in the scientific journal articles in the fields of health sciences and life sciences by using corpus linguistics approach.
