Obstetric hemorrhage is a major cause of maternal mortality in developing countries with incidence rate of 40-60%, 3-4 % of them are with antepartum bleeding as plasenta previa as the most common cause. The frequncy of placenta previa is 1-2% with an incidence of 1:200 delivery. The frequency of placenta previa in Sungailiat Bangka Hospital in 2012-2014 was 2,2%, 2,1%, 2,9% with incidence rate 1: 34 delivery.
