In this master thesis, the rates of depressive symptoms and sleep quality in elderly nursing home residents and day care visitors are analyzed. Anonymous questionnaire of three parts was applied: sociodemographic and anamnesis questionnaire, geriatric depression scale and Pitsburgh sleep quality index questionnaire. Research participants - Nursing home residents of VšĮ Kauno Panemunės socialinės globos namai and BĮ Kauno kartų namų Senelių globos padalinys; day care visitors of VšĮ Kauno Panemunės socialinės globos namų Socialinės priežiūros dienos centras, Dienos socialinės globos centras and BĮ Kauno kartų namų Pagyvenusių žmonių dienos centras; all of whom were 60 years or older in age.
