Evaluation of correlation between Ki67 expression and other pathological and prognostic breast cancer parameters

Objective: To identify and evaluate the correlation between Ki67 expression and other pathological and prognostic breast cancer parameters. Research tasks: To investigate the correlation between Ki67 expression and patientage. Analyze Ki67 expression interfaces with tumor size and extension to regional lymphnodes. Investigate the correlation between Ki67 expression and tumor differentiation degree. Evaluate the relationship between Ki67 expression and estrogen and progesterone and HER2 receptor expression. Methods: Retrospective analysis of 96 patient's disease history, which had breast cancer removal operation from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.2015 and solution proliferation markers Ki67 expression, ER, PR and HER2 expression at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. Correlation between Ki67 expression and other pathological and prognostic indicators was calculated using Pearson's correlation coefficient and Fisher test. Correlation is considered to have a reliability when p<0.05. Results: There was no correlation between the expression of the proliferation marker Ki67 and age (r=-0.123, p=0.232).
