The aim of this study was to characterise the profile of the consumer in relation to pig production systems, focusing on their product-related habits, in order to identify points with potential for improvement in pig production, the real reasons for buying such meat; what level of knowledge of the production of pork, and what do they think about it; what is the knowledge of the effects of swine meat on the human organism; among others that will cover pork in the current context.
