Perceptions about knowledge of different vocal techniques for singer training and professional pratice

The main focus of this work is to analyze how the knowledge of different vocal techniques can support singer’s formation e professional performance. In the introduction, the researcher points out what aroused his interest in the subject, as well as the general objective, the specific objectives and the methodology used for the development of this work. The first chapter deals with general aspects about the main western vocal techniques used by the singers. Chapter two brings some discussion about mixing techniques, analyzing the phenomenon known as vocal plasticity, a striking feature that a crossover singer must possess. The third chapter presents the answers of a questionnaire sent to four singing professionals, all of them with more than ten years of performance, and different profiles. In order to conclude the chapter, we analyze the responses received from the teachers based on the bibliographic review presented. We also present the general discussion of the results, showing, based on the analysis, that the knowledge of different vocal techniques can aid in the singer formation , brightening the range of professional opportunities and promoting a better control of vocal tract adjustments.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)O foco deste trabalho é analisar de que forma o conhecimento de diferentes técnicas vocais pode auxiliar no processo de formação e atuação profissional do cantor. Na introdução a investigadora aponta o que despertou o seu interesse pela temática, bem como objetivo geral, os objetivos específicos e a metodologia utilizada para o desenvolvimento do trabalho. O primeiro capítulo aborda aspectos gerais sobre as principais técnicas vocais ocidentais utilizadas pelos cantores. O capítulo dois traz algumas discussões a respeito da mistura de técnicas, analisando o fenômeno conhecido como plasticidade vocal, característica marcante que um cantor crossover deve possuir. O terceiro capítulo apresenta as respostas de um questionário enviado a quatro profissionais do canto, todos com mais de dez anos de atuação, e perfis bastante distintos. Para concluir o capítulo, analisa-se as respostas recebidas dos docentes com base na revisão bibliográfica apresentada, expõe-se ainda a discussão geral dos resultados, mostrando, com base na análise, que o conhecimento de diferentes técnicas vocais pode auxiliar a formação do cantor, ampliando o leque de oportunidades profissionais e promovendo um melhor domínio dos ajustes do trato vocal
