BACKGROUND: Beneficial aspects of solid organ transplantation, which encompass survival benefit, improved quality of life, and cost efficacy, have been clearly demonstrated. However, regional and ethnic differences require further studies to identify prognostic factors and transplant outcomes against various backgrounds.
